Siete Leguas Reposado
From TequilaGringo.com We were pretty excited to try this tequila after having enjoyed the anejo, but we found it to be just a step short of it's vaunted sibling. It's a beautiful, pale, golden color. Interestingly, we found smoke in the taste, something we haven't seen in too many repos. The rest was agave, and that's not a bad thing at all, it just wasn't enough to make us crazy. A solid choice, but you can find more interesting/complex tequlias.
From Tequila 7 Leguas: 8 months in white oak barrels have made Reposado 7 Leguas (7 Leages Mellow) the only one in its class.
One of the oldest distilleries in Mexico, Casa Siete Leguas has more than fifty years of experience in the making of tequila by means of a traditional process delivering full-bodied, high-quality spirits of refined flavor. Tequila Siete Leguas is steeped in heritage and tradition, and consists of a Blanco, a Reposado, an Añejo and a D'Antaño, all made of 100% Tequilana Weber Agave. The D'Antaño is aged up to five years. This tequila carries the name of Pancho Villa's famous horse.
