We thought it was just ok. Cool bottle with metal label though.

From Tequila Gringo:

This one didn't impress us as much.  We had it in a flight with Corazon's blanco and Anejo, and this one failed to stand out.  It has a typical tequila taste, was smooth with a medium heat.  We thought it was just all too typical to make our best list - but a solid choice if you're faced with a Patron/Cuervo looking bar.

New espolon tequila repo

they have a new bottle by the way. Skyy bought them out as well as Cabo wabo and the quality has gone down hill. Its only $20 now and the price reflects the flavor.

I tried both as a straight sipping tequila and mixed with some juice for a little Sunday morning hangover thwarter. I agree on the smoothness and general nothing-special quality about this pretty good reposado. I don't concur fully on the heat comment...Espolon has low heat to my taste. I think it's a good trait and the texture is balanced.

I think I paid $37 at the local market, which is not a terrible price.
