A Great Effort by Timberlake

TequilaGringo.com Review:     Justin Timberlake has come out with a winner.  I must say, I was a little biased against this tequila from the start (unfairly so) just because I thought it didn't really seem "mexican" or authentic.  When the bottle came I started to change my perception.  It's a better design in person than in the pictures.  Then we poured a little into a tequila glass, and had a whiff. A very unique smell and we had trouble categorizing it.  Nut is the best way I can describe it.  Great, thick legs.  The tastes rolls right in suit.  Interestingly, we were reminded of Herradura Sellecion Suprema - a very different tequila.  I think it's the silky mouthfeel, low heat and what I can best describe as nut that reminded us of the Ultra Premium Herradura.  Finish had more agave notes, and gave us a smile.  We have to say, thumbs up, this tequila won us over!

Stupid, just plain stupid

My rating is for some of the above comments.
Is this a tequila review or did I accidentally click onto a music site?
People bashing Justin Timberlake (and no, I'm not a fan) on a site (supposedly) about tequila.

If you haven't tried the tequila, why would I care what you think?
Stfu and stop wasting space for those of us who would actually like to know something about a new product, regardless of who's involved with it.

If it taste good, I couldn't care less if was created in a seance with Liberace, Rock Hudson, and Hitler.

great stuff

Was recently in St. Louis and a friend suggested that I try this "new" tequila called 901. Well, I tried it and have to say it was excellent. Very smooth . I was thoroughly impressed. Not like the tequila I remember from my college days. I drank it straight on ice with a lime wedge. I love it. Waiting for it to be released in New Jersey. Fortunately I took a bottle home with me. These guys with the bad opinions are just down on it because of who owns the company. Gimme a break. If JT's tequila is such an insult to your delicate mangina just pretend Clint Eastwood owns the company.

I like it

I'm with Gringo here. I was very skeptical, but a friend had it, so I gave it a taste. Really smooth, and really good in drinks. Pretty sure there is zero truth to the whole rebottling thing. Either way, give it a try before blindly knocking it.

Generic Garbage

Agreed. . .there are roughly 1,000 tequilas and 100 distilleries. . .meaning a lot of the same stuff in different bottles. This is nothing but a rebrand. I read it was 2 years in the making. TWO YEARS?! Now that's dedication. Takes a plant 8-10 years to mature. Two years to name, register, and design the bottle. . then just throw the same tequila in a new bottle. It might be OK. . haven't tried it. . .but the fact that it's unoriginal and just rebranded and marketed loses all credibility to me.

Its just a private label tequila!!

The tequila is the same as the Asom tequila brand. The Asom owner is tied into the LA scene. He took his tequila and is using JT to market it. JT has had nothing to do with the creation and production.

ok, why buy anything franchised by a pansy ?

the gringo review said it tastes like herradura, well i love all herradura tequila and a long list of real brewers of real tequila not a knock off copied and stamped with a superstars house brand. What will his perfume line be called or his neck tie line, bullshit for the middle class. Please buy me cause i can sing like a pompous ass, steal Micheal Jacksons dance moves and pretend to be a hommie while singing like a girl. Looser boy
